India, a key player in the global automotive market, grapples with emissions and congestion amid rapid urbanization. Electric vehicles (EVs) offer a transformative solution, supported by favourable policies and growing consumer interest. The EV market in India is poised to soar to $206 billion by 2030, necessitating robust infrastructure. Enterprising mobility start-ups are seizing this opportunity, employing innovative technology and partnerships to reshape the EV supply chain.
We spotlight five such pioneers driving India's EV revolution,
poised to catalyse sustainable mobility and redefine the automotive industry.
ZEVO
India is the Nation's first dedicated EV supply chain
platform, with a mission to redefine the industry's standards, driving
innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
ZEVO
was incepted in 2022 after recognizing a critical gap in sustainable mobility
solutions for businesses juxtaposed against the presence of underutilized
infrastructure assets in micro warehousing and the inefficiencies plaguing cold
chain logistics. Driven by a commitment to delve into the positive impact of
EVs on supply chains, ZEVO sought to quantify the substantial CO2 offset
achievable through their integration. Beyond environmental considerations, ZEVO
set its sights on revolutionizing business operations while uplifting
gig-workers, empowering small vendors, and supporting farmers.
